About
Lauren Gingold
Occupational Therapist, Director
Lauren has spent her career working with young children and has a passion for providing Occupational Therapy services and support to children in a community setting. Lauren Gingold Occupational Therapy provides high quality support and evidence based therapy for families with young children. Lauren has particular interest working with babies and children up to seven years of age.
Lauren works closely with a child’s parents or carers to collaboratively set goals and monitor progress. Lauren also works alongside a child’s other therapy or medical teams, including speech therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, paediatricians, teachers or education support staff. Research has shown that a collaborative approach to early intervention for children with disabilities or development delays leads to improved long-term outcomes for the child and their family.
Lauren has experience in Early Childhood Intervention Services in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs where she worked as a Key Worker/Occupational Therapist. It was during this time that she began to see the advantage in providing therapy in the child’s real-life environment, in the home or in an education setting, such as childcare or kindergarten. Lauren has also worked as an OT in a special developmental school. She studied a Bachelor of OT and Bachelor of Behavioral Science at La Trobe University. Lauren continues to mentor early-career OTs.
